The mess that is Vodacom Retentions and Cancellations (stay away from them)

So after spending over 14 years being a vodacom contract client, I must say I am sick and tired of the bad service I have received from them. It seems they are even getting worse than the old Telkom. I spend over 5 days trying to get through to their Retentions/Cancellation department with no one picking . I used the 111 and the ********** numbers. When I finally got through the agent put me on hold and literaly dropped my call. You would think he would try to call back, nope... it then took me another couple of hours trying to get through. When I finally got through this time, I was refered to a "manager" Wadiah who promised to call me back... Its been over a week now.

This is also compounded with the fact that I had asked them to imit my calls to R1800 which they have failed to do so in the past 4 months. I was told that the system was not functional. Oh then there is my favourite drop calls, does anyone at Vodacom realise what a dropped call means for some of us? an free minute does not compensate for the reputational risk we have to endure. So, I have decided to leave this once great company, I have decided to try my luck with someone else. Guess what no, it can get worse... I emailed vodacom twice ********** my proof of payment for early cancellation and filled their cancellation forms, since then I have not heard anything from them and my number has not been downgraded to pre paid as per my request in order for me to port my number. If someone from Vodacom is reading this, all I want is to leave your company, i have paid accordingly and have tried to follow you processes.... I want OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
