The incompetence continues

Singularly shocking standards of customer service strike once again. After cancelling my contract in disgust after receiving abominable service at Vodacom Pinelands in-store, I am still receiving invoices and amounts are still going off my bank account. When I phoned customer service, I was told that the contract had NOT been cancelled as per my in-store request on the 24th of August 2016.

This manager, whose name I am loathe to bring up as the mere mention of it gives me hives, has made numerous errors and is still at large wreaking havoc with fed-up Vodacom customers.

I have requested that my number be changed to prepaid and my contract cancelled telephonically - and lo and behold, following a truncated conversation with a Vodacom agent, I am informed via sms that my bank account will be credited with R67.29 - as opposed to the money owed to me for September, which amounts to R354.

How could it be possible that this kind of incompetence should be allowed to continue? At this rate, the only solution is for me to lay a complaint with the Consumer Protection Act Commission. What am I supposed to do now? Wait around whilst Vodacom renders me services I don't want and takes money I don't want to spend on them?
