The Grove: Unwillingness To Return/Replace Phone Cover

I purchased a Speck cellphone cover on the 22nd of October 2016 which cost R499 at Vodashop The Grove from salesperson K****tso

Following 5 months of use the cover started wearing and tearing so I visited the Vodashop with my original purchase reciept in The Grove and spoke to K****tso regarding the cover and she referred me to the store manager Surita van Schalkwyk who was adamant that the cover could not be returned or replaced even though it was returned with the original proof of purchase within the CPA 6 month period.

This is a formal complaint as I have returned two covers to Takealot which are distributed by the same supplier GammaTek without any hassles so I bought this cover as it was not available on Takealot and thought it would be durable for the price.

I went to the store with the intention to exchange the cover for a new one and not a refund however should that not be possible a refund wouldve been accepted.

It is so disapponting to find a store with welcoming smiles treat a customer in this fashion taking account all CPA periods.

I am seriously unimpressed with Vodacom in regards to accessory purchases, what is the point of retaining your reciept for warranty purposes when they will not exchange it?
