The customer is not right. The customer is stupid.
Sir/ Madam Please find attached a screenshot. You are announcing my data is almost finished and offering me a special offer to buy more data, but you fail to point out clearly that the data offer is nothing like the data that is soon to be depleted. And yet the offer is in the same message implying I will get 1gb to continue using my photo with data. In reality the data you are offering is strictly for Twitter and or facebook as I was to discover after accepting this offer twice, obviously only to discover that the data is useless for whatsapp, google maps etc. As a result of this misleading information (you seem to assume everyone knows what is the definition of social data and what terms and conditions are attached by reading your short sms) I was stranded during my travels because my google maps failed to work. Upon complaining to your customer service the lady said I should have known what social data means. The customer was wrong and Vodafone was right. In Europe where I am from there are laws against misleading advertising. Lastly the lady I spoke to had promised to keep me updated on the case/complaint. I said an sms would be enough just so I know the resolution. She did try to call the next day while I was on a ladder so I couldn’t reply. There were two missed calls. She then sms’d me to say she tried to reach me but I was not answering. Do you think she mentionned anywhere what the resolution was to my complaint, whether I would get a refund for the **** data? Of course not. She just wanted to say she tried to call and now I should go through the hassle of reaching customer service all over again, which is a tedious task each time.
