The Customer is NOT right!
Four years ago I rec a ph call offering me a router 3G for use on internet. It was about 140 rand a month. Just before the two year contract expired, I again rec a call offering me another contract for 2 yrs , using the same router, but as it was now paid for, I was told it would be cheaper at R109 pm with 2gigs day and 2 gigs night . It was also a 3G router. About 3 weeks into the new contract, I started having connection problems with the router and went to Langeberg Mall Vodacom shop who askde why I wasnt on a anew router of 4G? I told them that I was not offered this router. They told me to ph a tel no, ********** (I believe it was) and when doing so I was told that the so called cooling off period has passed and there was basically nothing they could do. I find this unacceptable and maile the company with no reply. After numerous querys in the same regard, I still have a faulty router. I have subsequently stopped paying my monthly subs as I do not pay for goods not received. My sim has obviously also been cancelled. I also asked to have my mthly statement sent to me by email but they insist on sms'ing it to me. !!!! I made a payment some weeks ago when I wanted to try and rectify the situation , but then they couldnt find the payment. I had to go to the bank to get a proof of payment which I sent to Vodacom after which I was connected. Subsequently my router has gone on the blink and I havce stopped paying them. I now rec sms;'s showing that I am in arrears , INCLUDING the amount that i proved to them, I DID pay!
