THE CURSED REJECT PHONE THAT I APPARENTLY KEEP BREAKING

Posting on behalf of A Harris, an email sent to the CEO but apparently the mail box is full.

Good day CEO

I trust you are well and I hope to receive a direct response from yourself as to the recourse that will be taken regarding this problem I am facing for a 4th time.

I have previously complained about my device and it being faulty 3 times, Huawei Y5. Please refer to previous emails regarding this. ********** & Edlin Naidoo)

On the 21/04/2019 my Huawei Y5, suddenly as per the 3 previous occasions, out of nowhere, showed a distorted screen. This distortion is on the same exact place as per the previous 3 occasions in the same manner. I believe Vodacom should have these images, if not, please contact me and i will gladly forward it again.

Unfortunately this device has now broke for a 4th time -see image below . On the same exact place as per the previous 3 times. During this , i have communicated with Edlin Naidoo to resolve the device's LCD being faulty, i have emailed again for the 4th time that this device has yet again turned faulty AFTER I WAS PROMISED THAT IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN, but her mailbox is responding with it being full and unable to receive mails - same as for your email. please do take note that i originally requested a new device and according to Vodacom Eastgate the phone was broken due to negligence (only on the 3rd time was this said to us after the phone has been in previously 2 times for the same exact problem) and according to Edlin this is out of the manufacturers warranty(total disregard for my facts given during the previous occasion of this device being faulty and believing a ********** report/jobcard).

Communication with Edlin was fruitless as she could not answer my questions fully when asked as to why a device that is broken due to negligence can have the same problem 2 times before, again I ask the same how does this happen 4 times to a device not even a full month after receiving it back from Vodacom repairs? Please see attached pics and be aware that THE FOLLOWING IS NON EXISTENT AS THESE WERE THE CLAIMS MADE ON THE 3RD REPAIR DONE TO THIS DEVICE:

-THERE IS NO PHYSICAL DAMAGES -NO CRACKED SCREEN OR LCD -NO PEELING PAINT -NO FAULTY SIM TRAY (I believe vodacom has record of this as well)

I am utterly, and beyond words furious at the quality of this device, which i hope is now clear is a reject device as the device is only 5 months old but has been in for repairs 3 times already. I REFUSE to pay any of my 7 Vodacom contracts until this issue has been resolved in the matter of a full refund for all payments made for this device (inclusive of the sim connection fee), or a BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT DEVICE.

I remind you, i do not want it repaired, as this has now proven to be a pointless, time dragging and money wasting venture for myself and Vodacom as the same problem is continuously persistent on the device. My contracts may not be the most expensive and top of the range but it is my hard earned money i am using to pay for them and I refuse to be **********, i only wanted a new device to avoid sitting in this position again but here i am again with a reject device and empty promise from Vodacom.

I am requesting feedback no later than 7 days from today(24/04/2019) as to what will be done to resolve this matter either by a full refund or a brand new replacement device as I am not going to sit and wait for the device to be faulty a 5th time or to be told it is my negligence when it is clearly a factory reject device.

I am going to report this matter to the ombudsman as I am not going to tolerate any play play repairs or stories as to what your "technicians" at Vodacom Eastgate deem as physical damage when the device is a reject and has no signs of negligence whatsoever (please compare attached images to those sent to Edlin by the technician, Herman, to the images attached.)

I hope to hear from you soonest with a solution to this, as the word "repair" is non existent to me regarding this Huawei Y5.

Regards A. Harris **********

I have tried forwarding the above to Vodacoms CEO numerous times, during this period I have handed the device in at VODACOM EASTGATE, only for me to be told today that yet again it is negligence, this after the store manager confirmed with me before taking the device that there is no damage whatsoever on the device but wow that suddenly changed, now the back of the phone is dented and the screen is cracked yet again. How does this happen 4 times in the same exact spot??? Please see the below picture for yourself, this is not a cracked screen and any person with eyes can see this!

I'm done with VODACOM and will not pay my 7 contacts until this is resolved with a new device.

A BIG BUNCH OF ****** WITH NO CARE WHATSOEVER, THE REPAIRS ON THE PHONE COSTS MORE THAN THE PHONE ITSELF ALREADY! WHY CAN'T I JUST GET A NEW DEVICE? I AM DONE PAYING FOR A REJECT PHONE AND I WON'T EVER AGAIN RENEW OR UPGRADE OR PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM VODACOM.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE YOUR LITTLE JOB CARD STATES NO EXTERNAL DAMAGES.
