The contract cancel scheme

What an absolute joke this month has been in terms of service from Vodacom. My contract is coming to and end on 30 June 2020 and as instructed, I have been trying to get in contact with them to cancel. From June 1st I have called and left call back requests. My emails are all met with many apologies for lack of service and auto responses to just call the number they do not answer. I've had a few agents promising to escalate to "problem" (simply calling a client is now cause for escalation). I've been promised Angela from retensions is going to call me to assist me. I keep waiting for calls. It is now almost the end of the month. Does it take 18 working days to contact your clients? If the month lapses do I now have to pay because Vodacom can't talk to it's clients?
