The Answer - Vodacom's view of their customers
We are more than 2 months later, with this the 4th official Hello Peter complaint. Vodacom has acknowledge the first 3 complaints and promised to contact me and resolve the issues, most/all of which are more than 1 year old.

In spite of the 3 (THREE) promises to call, they only called ONCE. The 1 (ONE) time they called the person left a message with a name, promised to call back. No number was left enabling me to call them. The number they called from cannot be called back. Neither did the person keep their promise to call back.

So what do we know about Vodacom (and executives from Shameel Joosub downwards) are:
# They know they cannot and WILL NOT keep.
# They hide behind one way (from them outwards) numbers to avoid having to speak to unhappy customers.
# They are happy to have long standing customers spread the message of a total lack of customer service.
# They fully accept the risks behind 1 unhappy customer telling 7 other people (in my case maybe 700)

because they accept the fact that they JUST DON'T CARE, they are FAT AND HAPPY even though they dropped from 50% (2012) to below 40% (2014) marketshare.

So maybe below 30% in 2016?

WOW, something to look forward to!!!
