Thanks and goodbye
So I informed Vodacom, timeously, that I wanted to cancel my (longstanding) contract with them as they no longer offer a product that I find useful nor cost effective.

In the interim I went to Telkom and app**** (successfully) for a new contract.

The last date of the Vodacom contract was 1 March 2016 and the inception of the Telkom contract was 2 March 2016. All that had to be done was the number to be ported from Vodacom to Telkom.

This did not happen and, despite many hours in the Vodacom shop at Canal Walk, many hours of phone calls, many hours in the Telkom shop at Canal Walk, Vodacom has still not allowed the number to be ported to Telkom.

Vodacom has, by their own admission, had some sort of \system change\" that my contract cancellation fell into. They still refuse to do anything to assist, and as a professional person I need my number to remain unchanged.

So at present I have now - lost the data I had with Vodacom, had to pay for another entire month of contract fees with Vodacom (despite losing the data as they finally changed me to prepaid on 10 March), and Im paying for the Telkom contact already!

I need Vodacom to release my number and reimburse me."
