Thank you Vodacom for nothing. Your service stinks!
Having been a faithful client for the last 20 years and wanting to do the right thing, I called the call center and informed Vodacom that me and my family planned to emigrating and requested that all our accounts, which had reached termination date in October 2019, be transferred to a month to month account. The emigration date had at that time not been confirmed thus moving to prepaid appeared to be the best solution. On 31 October in a call with an agent from the Vodacom call center all our accounts were (supposedly) moved to a month to month UChoose Flexi 230 deal. We placed our house on the market however the sale was delayed due to the Covid 19 Lock-down. We finally sold the property in December 2020 and planned to emigrate in April 2021. Once the emigration date was confirmed I again called the call center on 16 April to inform them that we would be stopping the month to month deal which I believed was the polite thing to do. I was then informed that all my lines were in fact on a 24 month contract. I asked the agent (Pumzile) to pull the recording from when I requested that I be moved to a month to month contract which she could not do. I then spoke to her supervisor (Onke Moya) who informed that they would pull the recording and contact me within 3 days. I did not receive any call-back. I again called on 21 April and spoke to a consultant who informed me that they had sent an E Mail to Onke requesting that he contact me. Again I received no reply so called them on 23 April and spoke to Kadice who also inform that she sent a E Mail requesting that Onke contact me urgently. Later that day, having not received a call from Onke, I called the call center again and spoke to another consultant who left a message for Onke to call me urgently. On 28 April, having not received any feedback from Vodacom, I called again and spoke to Clarise and asked that she send an urgent message to Onke to contact me. Again I had not received any feedback and my account was debited on 1st May. On 3 May I again called the call center and spoke to Andrew who confirmed all previous conversation and also informed that he would pull the recording from 31 October 2019. He informed that I would be contacted within 3 days. A reference number was issued (***) No correspondence was received. On 7 May I again called the call center and spoke to Annie (Andrew Jordan's team) who escalated the issue to her manager who was not available that day and would be available the next day and confirmed that I would be called by the 10th of may. I received an SMS confirming that I would receive a call by 10 May. I informed Annie that I was going to take this "outstanding service"to social media and I was begged not to. To date I have yet to be contacted either by phone, SMS or E Mail. If this is how loyal customers for 20 years wanting to do the right thing are treated by what supposed to be a very mature provider, I would hate to know how new customers are treated. I can only conclude that Vodacom South Africa are a bunch of *******, doing what suits them with no consideration for honest and dedicated customers. Their escalation Process is an absolute farce as after 35 days and so many promises, absolutely nothing is done except for me spending hours of my time holding on for agents to either take my call and/or return promised calls. I could have simply closed my bank accounts and emigrated without informing them - which I believe would not be the right thing to do which now proves to be the only thing I can do. Thank you Vodacom for nothing. Your service stinks!

Vodacom successfully leads the list of most useful, money ******ing structure in SA! Congratulations Vodacom, at least you are first at something.
