Thank you for nothing, Vodacom!

Vodacom staff in UMHLANGA Repair Center are unprofessional, condescending and devious. Maybe it's the whole Vodacom.

I have been a customer since 2010, and the treatment I am getting of late makes me question if I'm loyal to the wrong service provider.

My home internet router stopped working. I booked it in, the store Center it to Mhlanga. Instead of troubleshooting and repairing, they tried to force me to pay for a replacement unit. An amount of R1265, when a new router is around R1600.

I asked that they send it to the Advanced Repair Center in Midrand, the lady there said she would talk to her manager, after I insisted that she escalate the matter. Next thing, my unrepairable router is sent back to Richard's Bay for me to collect. I live 2 hours away from there, I stressed that they resend it with the note that it is going to the ARC in Midrand. The process started again. It gets to ARC, they quote me the replacement value AGAIN. When I try reason with them that all they have to do is: Get a technician to open the device, troubleshoot to see why it fails to switch on if though it shows it has power, quote me on repairing THAT issue, and fix the problem. I speak to the lady at UMHLANGA, she finally says the device is at the ARC I should call them. Meanwhile, as I am dealing with ARC in Midrand, someone from UMHLANGA updates the system that I rejected the quote, triggering a series of events where the technician picks up the note, stops looking for the problem, and sends the device back. I am trying to handle the situation this side, that side they are undercutting me.

I am gonna start shopping for better service providers. Thank you for nothing Vodacom.
