Thank you but.............
To whom It May Concern Ref No: *** With reference to the attached letter, titled, "Outstanding Account Warning Letter" for an amount of R1490.88 owed by me. On the morning of 23 July, I discovered this letter attached to an email received from Vodacom, I immediately attempted to call Vodacom customer service and other departments. My attempted calls were as follow: 1st call @ 11H39, 2 mins, 9 secs no response. 2nd call @ 12H32 2 mins, 9 secs 3rd call @ 12H34 dropped call 4th call @ 12H35 X 2 dropped call 5th call @ 13H37 26 mins and 14 secs These calls above are among the 10 calls I had made and the 5th one listed was a return call from Vodacom. I appreciated the callback after the attempts to deal with the right people at Vodacom. In an attempt to get the attention of the right person to assist me, I spend over 2 hours on the phone. I am aware that your staff are working remotely which at times causes waiting periods. I had a CONTRACT for data on ***. Sometime, last year in October or November 2020, I cancelled the contract and the consultant informed me that I should give a month's notice. I was also informed that the CONTRACT will expire on the 4 November which meant it would be discontinued and be converted to pay as you go. I was also advised at that time that I would receive sms to confirm the cancelation of the CONTRACT. As time progressed in January 2021, I thought that I was now only liable for the remaining other contract I have with Vodacom. Anyway, I spent the 2 hrs on the phone to get this matter resolved amicably. At last I was informed by a consultant that the contract will be terminated on the 31 July 2021 and it would be converted to pay as you go. When I raised the issue about the amount owing, I was told to call billing. Well, surely you would agree that at that stage I had no energy left to spend, I don't know how long this round would take to resolve the outstanding amount matter. Long story short, I received the above letter. I have been a customer with Vodacom, I can't even remember for how long. Beside the other threats stated in the letter, Vodacom already had me listed at the Credit Bureau which affected my credit record. If you go into your own records, you would find that I had always paid my contracts. We are advised that the calls are being recorded every time we call Vodacom. I am sure there would be calls that can be traced to verify the above. I hereby request that this matter be rectified. The money that is outstanding be credited as I had canceled the contract and money was still deducted. I was under the impression it was canceled as you can also verify that the datas had accumulated. Vodacom withdraws my name from the Credit Bureau.
I trust that this matter will be resolved amicably. . Sincerely
