Terrible Vodacom Wifi Signal

During the early hours of the day the wifi will test between 30 and 75 mbps but as the day progresses, the signal drops substantially to the point that I can't even watch a 10 second reel on Facebook or receive calls on Whatsapp. and when I do a speed test, I am lucky if it tests more than 1.5 mbps.

I have been complaining about this issue since Desember 2026. I phoned the Mpumalanga Regional Office on 16 February 2026 and spoke to Promise, she was very helpful and relayed my complaint to the technicians department, with no feedback from them. I phoned again on 19 and 20 February and again Promise was very friendly and said she would relay the message again, again with no response. I gave them realistic time to respond to my complaint but no response at all.

On 4 March I phoned the Regional Office again, by this time I was not very happy about the fact that I had no response at all and spoke to Promise again, in a very firm voice I told her that I am not happy about this and that I will contact the ceo of Vodacom and Icasa and eif need be the Consumer Protection Board. As I want to know, how is it possible that my complaint goes unattended for almost 3 months but Pretoria, which already has all the infrastructure at their disposal gets an upgrade?

Within the hour Natasha for the Regional Office phoned me back and said she will book a ticket for the technicians. On 5 March a technician named Tsepo phoned me and he came to my house to investigate the issue.

While he was busy doing all of his tests, he noticed that even the normal signal is very spotty at best. He also found that our signal comes from the ****hest tower on Modderfontien Farm, not the tower next to the power station at Lowerfontein Guesthouse, which by the way is still on 2G.

Tsepo phoned an engineer to ask when will the Grootvlei towers be upgraded and she said it will happen in the new financial year but don't know when exactly. Tsepo then explained what the issue is and the urgency of the situation. I have since been sending Tsepo screenshots of the speed tests for him to build a case history.

Now my question to you is, when will Vodacom upgrade the towers in Grootvlei? Because for me...what makes Pretoria better or more special when it comes to upgrades? We pay the same amount of money for our packages and wifi but must be satisfied with such bad service!
