Terrible service - Withholding information

On the 27th October I called Vodacom's Customer care to find out on average, over the period of one year, how many of the "free" minutes I recieve I actually use. The lady that assisted me told me she only had access to two months back and that I would have to log a call for the technical department to investigate. I proceeded to log a call Ref: S3-G9ZA2-2HSG.

I called the Customer Care number again to follow up on my request on the 4th of November and was told that a request like this could take upto two weeks, so I was forced to wait.

I called again on the 14th and after wasting another 30 minutes on the phone speaking to Zanelle, she told me she would escalated the issue.

Today, the 15th November, I once again called the call centre in the hopes of receiveing some information, once again I was given the run around until I eventually asked to be put through to a supervisor.

I spoke to Ishmail and after wasting another 30 minutes of my time, I was eventually informed that Vodacom is unable to give me the information I require.

I cannot believe that Vodacom in unable to provide such basic information to their clients.

Please could somebody from Vodacom assist me.

Dear Kulsoem,

Thank you once again for your assistance.

I really wish that Vodacom would invest in more staff like yourself. Your competency and willingness to assist me and go the extra mile really restored my faith in Vodacom.

I am hoping that you may be able to assist me, or point me in the right direction, with my next request .

With your assistance I have figured out that on average I use 258 minutes and around 7.5GB of data. Clearly the package I am on is not ideally suited to my usage. (I have recently installed fiber at home and as such my mobile data usage will be dramatically reduced.)

From what I can figure out the best package for me would be the Smart More Data 6GB with two x 100 minute bundles added on.

I would like to downgrade from my Smart XL package to the Smart More Data 6GB package.

I would also like to add on 2 x 100 minute recurring bundles at +/- R90 each.

My problem is that Vodacom now wants to charge me a downgrade fee.

I need to contact someone that has the authority to override the automated system downgrade fee.

As any level headed person will see, although the contract amount will be reduced from R739 to R699 (R40 per month), I will actually be spending an additional R140 per month with the 2 x recurring bundles.

Over an above this I have been paying for "free" minutes I don't used for numerous years as well as exorbitant out of bundle data rates.

I really hope that you will be able to assist me.

Looking forward to your prompt response.

Kind regards

Oliver
