Terrible service on numerous occasions

I've been trying to upgrade to a business account for the last 3 months as I mainly use my phone for my business - Vodacom advertises options for business customers, however, they make it extremely difficult to activate a business account, so in a way this is false advertising.

In September last year, I went into Vodacom Rosebank and tired to upgrade and change my bank account to my business bank account but was told I could only do so at Vodacom Sandton.

In November I went to Vodacom Norwood to do a general upgrade of my contract but was told that the system was being changed and that I had to wait for the NEW system before I could upgrade.

In December I was told they could only do it on the OLD system! When I insisted on upgrading to the business system as I was told before that I could do, I was told I could only do it at Vodacom Sandton.

When I went to Vodacom Sandton they said I could only do it on the 15th of the month.

So on 15 January I went back to Vodacom Sandton and was told by Andiswa that I should rather not go onto the business package because it is "too difficult to do". I told her that Vodacom had advertised it and that I use my phone for my business so it was the package that I wanted so she reluctantly went ahead. I handed in all the paperwork that had been requested. Andiswa then said she would call me when she heard from the business team. She then called me a few days later to say it could only be done on 15 February even though I had been there on 15th January as I had been told!

On 15 February I had to phone Andiswa for feedback and was then told that they had only STARTED the process then! I was then contacted and told to hand in numerous other documents which had never been asked for upfront. Finally, after all this time, it was approved today, 23 February - only now I've been told that the option that I went in for on 15 January has expired!! This is completely unacceptable.

Then later today I receive a text message from Vodacom asking if I had "great service"?? So I rep**** NO as the message said I should if I was not satisfied. Shannon from CUSTOMER CARE then called me and wasted 7 minutes of my time just to say that she could not help me with this problem. Why did she phone in the first place if customer care could not resolve the problem?

I've tried to find a Vodacom email address to complain to, however, there is none - the website says we should phone CUSTOMER CARE - which has already phoned me and cannot help.

It is amazing that a business like Vodacom can get away with treating customers so poorly. I have 2 phone contracts and a data contract with Vodacom. I used to be with MTN and moved to Vodacom but I'll look elsewhere again because they clearly don't need my business.
