Terrible service from Vodacom in general
I made the biggest mistake of opening a contract with Vodacom. I received a Sony Z5 xperia handset with my contract after 2 weeks it was not working I took it in to Vodacom. They said 7 day replacement handset time has expired and the handset must be taken in for repairs. Some time passed by and i wondered why the phone was taking so long to return. I went to Vodacom to find out why. the consultant goes to the back store room comes out with the handset i asked if the phone was fixed he rep**** he does not know and i must take the phone home and test it to see if its been fixed. i showed him an sms that the Vodacom repair centre sent me 2 weeks ago to say they received my phone and will repair it. so he said then it must be fixed cause this form doesn't show wether the phone was sent out for repairs or not. i get home set up the phone, I see all my data is gone i assume its from the software upgrade they did. to my surprise the phone still has the same fault i return it to Vodacom they re book it in for repairs i wait again. they call me tell me my phone is ready I go pick it up. They tell me my phone could not be repaired and they replaced it with a refurbished phone, (which means a second hand phone) i was not happy cause my phone was brand new. anyway i had to accept it, i de3cided to test the new phone in the shop, can you believe the replacement phone has the same issue. the consultant tells me i must come back next week he will find out if they can do an emergency OBF which he says is policy when a phone has gone in for repairs so many time. OBF means replace the phone with another name brand of phone with same value as yours which i said i would like that as i don't want a the Sony any longer. I return following week to which consultant says the deactivated a feature on the phone that was causing the problem i tested the phone to which i found a hold new fault with the phone, the security setting are not working on this phone aswel. There is no way i will accept a phone with not all features working, if i buy a product i want all features to be working cause that's why you pay so much for the phone cause of the features it offers. The consultant gives me an email and a contact number for a Freddie Teffo at some Vodacom Office and told me he explained my story to Freddie and Freddie told him i must email him explaining what was wrong and what i want, to which i did only to find out this email does not exist. I call the contact number i was given, I get hold of Freddie try to explain he stops me and says put it in an email. I resend the email to the new email explaining everything including the OBF story an if form him i would like a new make of handset or i would like to cancel my contract. i have not received any response from him informing me how we going to move forward with this. instead i get a call from ome Vodacom consultant from a repair centre telling me they received my phone and will repair it, i tell her my tory he tell me i must call Freddie, i do that, Freddie i not in so i leave a message for him to please call me. up till today i have not received a call from him. i received an email from Freddie yesterday with a job number and a short sentence saying phone booked in for repairs. nothing else was on the email., no explanation nothing. I will never open or use Vodacom account ever again. i will inform every one i know about this. i have paid for a contract since mid December last year that i cant make use of because the sim card on my old phone uses a micro sim and my Vodacom is a nano sim which means all my free minutes and data I'm suppose to be getting is now all been lost and i will never get it back. IT IS NOW THE 6TH OF MAY 2016 AND THIS PROBLEM HAS STILL NOT BEEN SORTED OUT AND I TILL DONT EVEN HAVE MY REFURBISHED Z5 YET. I'm so unhappy cause I'm am probably going to be sitting with a unfixed refurbished (second hand phone)Z5 after i bought a new phone from them and had only 2 weeks of use out of it. Thank you Vodacom for the wonderful service you give to your so called valued clients. Yes i had to use sarcasm because its the only form of relief i can get from Vodacom.
