Terrible service from vodacom
I'm a loyal vodacom contract client since 2004. My story is as follows. Vodacom contacted me for an upgrade on 27 May 2020. I agreed to upgrade with a Huawei p30lite. I received an sms that the phone was dispatched on 29th May. On the 1st June the phone was delivered at my place. I tried to setup the phone but I was not able to as it would not allowed me to enter the pin. I keeper on getting an error. the same someone from vodacom called to confirm the delivery I explained my situation he then advised me to go to the nearest vodacom branch. On 6 June 2020 I went to vodacom Southgate branch the technician Humbelani advise they need to reset the phone and I must pay R150 - R270 I refused since I only had the phone in my possession for less that 7days then advised to taken the phone for repairs at their repairs department. On 15th June he called twice due to bad connections I unable to hear him. On the 17th June he called again and advised that the repairs departments has been trying to contact me with no success. He said I need to pay R150 for them to reset the phone since I had the phone for more than 7days. I refund again i inform hum they rather keep the phone and cancel my contract there is no way I'm going to pay for service of something I never used. I think the guy don't believe e that I had phone for less than 7days as my invoice is dated 29 may that was the day the phone was dispatched from the shop. I'm so disappointed in vodacom for believing me.
