Terrible service from Vodacom.

My name is Mandla with the following contract number with Vodacom ********** 434. In 2017, I cannot believe that my problem persists since November 2016 and there is no solution in sight. The sad thing is, Vodacom are so terrible in terms of servicing and assisting customers. Sometimes, it is not about the time taken to resolve the issue however communicating and updating customers is very important.

Since my postings in December 2016, I received a call from a gentleman from Vodacom, who asked me to explain my issue or issues that I was experiencing.

I took my time to explain the issues, I was so excited that I was getting somewhere in terms of getting the issues resolved.

I received the call on 14th December 2016 at 10h10 from the following number: ********** 7. After explaining, the gentleman advised that he will call me back as he will log a call with the Vodacom Engineering department. The gentleman, did keep his promise, he called back after roughly 30 minutes, at 10h43. He explained that the Engineering department picked up that there was an issue with my profile as there were changes done to my profile, hence I cannot load data and he going to get it resolved before proceeding with loading data that was not received but charged. He requested that I give him time, which I agreed. He advised that I will receive 5 Gigs of data seeing that Vodacom had charged me for 2Gigs, 250MB x 2 and 1Gig which I never received.

On the same day, 14th December 2016, I received another call from a lady at 17h07 from the following number ********** 8, asking about the same issue/issues. I explained the issue AGAIN to her, which showed me that there is no collaboration between departments OR lack of communication between Vodacom staff. I am saying this, they should at least have a system that shows that someone has contacted the customer regarding the issue in question, not to have 2 or 3 people calling the same customer on the same issue, it irritates as I must explain the problem repeatedly with no end in sight. I requested the lady to liaise with the gentleman who called me in the morning, to avoid duplication of work. Since that day on 14th December 2016; I RECEIVED NO FEEDBACK or UPDATE.

On 20th December 2016 at 16h05, I received a call from a gentleman who called himself Sivu. I explained again the issues to him and he advised he will check the invoices and he will investigate, then after investigating, he will refund me the amount of money for data that was charged but not received. He advised that he could not see the invoices for money that was charged. I informed him that there were no invoices but different amount was deducted from bank account not reflecting on the invoice sent to me. He advised that he will call me back. He kept his word, he called me back in roughly 10 minutes at 16h16. He advised that he has picked up the amounts of monies debited on my account. He advised that the issue should be resolved as I have been given 6 Gigs by Vodacom as gesture of goodwill. I was shocked as I did not receive that 6 Gigs of data he was referring to. I informed him that I did not receive any data from Vodacom and again, I asked him seeing that I cannot load data and I am being charged pro rata which is expensive, who will pay for that. He could not provide me with an answer and he advised that he will call me back the next day 21st December 2016 at 09h00. I waited for his call up until today 5th January 2017, I am still waiting, I am not sure what is happening, whether the issue has been resolved or not. This is what us (Customers) loyal paying customers must go through and I am so disappointed with Vodacom, that I have never skipped my payments, every month Vodacom debits my account, they have never called me to say, we did not get our money or insufficient funds were found on your account or our debit order bounced. Fortunately for Vodacom, they know that there is no alternative, all Service Providers, are terrible when it comes to Customer Service. I wish they can introduce other good service providers who can challenge the status quo.

Mandla

********** 434
