Terrible service from Vodacom

I decided to do the contractual upgrades of 2 of my Vodacom contracts by using the Vodacom Online service. All things efficient is online, right? Wrong!!

I completed the online upgrade more than a month ago. On the one contract, half of the promised goods and a sim card that actually fits the hand set remains outstanding, despite an escalation and several phone calls and empty promises later.

On the second contract, I have yet to receive anything.....no handset....no apology....just terrible service.

I spent 40 mins on the line this morning, first holding for someone to actually just pick up the phone. And once it was answered, I got sent from one department to the next. Still.....no resolution.

So all Vodacom customers, if you were considering using the online service offered by Vodacom, think again...!!!

The online upgrade service is most definitely not a reliable or efficient solution. What a terrible mistake I made to actually expect something to work or someone competent to deliver on their promises of call backs and resolving the issues.

I have been a loyal Vodacom customer for almost 20 years.....perhaps time for a change.....

Dear Vodacom
Thank you for your response. I'm afraid that this still leaves me with no assurance that my upgrades are going to be finalised in the near future. It simply confirms that there is no respect left for customers' time. What does 'in due course' actually mean? I've heard that all too many times.....

And so the year comes to an end......and guess what...still no resolution!!! How absolutely amazing that this is the kind of service we not only pay for, but should be satisfied with.
It is not only unacceptable, but also evidences the levels of incompetence of a household brand such as Vodacom.....
Is there anyone from Vodacom that can actually do something to resolve my outstanding queries, deliveries, escalations.....??

Customer complaints and the complete lack of service from Vodacom is clearly not important......what does one need to do to get anything resolved???
