Terrible Service and inconvenience from Vodacom Head Office

I actually do not know what to do anymore. I have been sent from pillar to post for the last week with still no luck.

I have app**** for vehicle finance from Standard Bank and need a letter to confirm that my existing account with Vodacom is paid up to date.

I have been a client of Vodacom's for a few years now and am still awaiting a letter from them to confirm that my account has been paid up to date.

Vodacom handed me over to the credit beareau for R31.88, of which I didnt even know what outstanding since I havent received statements from Vodacom even after updating my email address with them countless times and not receiving mail via post either.

SO after confirming this amount apparently outstanding, I settled together with my montly installment coming to the amount of R323.77 on Friday the 28th July 2017. Yesterday (the 10th call to Vodacom) I explained to the legal department again that I have settled the amount of R31.88 in question with my installment. I was put on hold again for about 3 min and the consultant confirmed that he does not see the R31.88 as paid on the system. My frustration again kicks in as I have explained countless times to this person that I had paid these amounts together. The installment and the R31.88 together, hence the payment of R323.77. Then he proceeded to tell me that if I wanted to cancel my contract I have to speak to someone in accounts. I never even mentioned cancelling my account or contract, I just need a letter confirming payment is up to date.

I really didnt think that a simple letter could be so difficult for Vodacom. Just type on a letterhead and email to a client, is it that difficult?

I have spent hours on the phone (time I couldve spent being more productive in my business). I have dealt with Tebogo, Zanele, Chad, RoseMary, Jason and Vuvu to mention a few people.

Vuvu and Chad actually tried to assist me, however I am still awaiting the letter. The rest of the staff at Vodacom from Call Centre, Accounts, Collections, Legal department..... what is going on?

I have been told that I can only receive a letter once I cancelled my contract with Vodacom, do they want me to cancel?

I am now attempting to physically go into an actual store and request this letter in person.

Will Vodacom actually assist me with this?

In all honesty, I cannot wait to change my contract over to another network, I will never refer or recommend Vodacom to anyone, just due to a lack of customer service, incompetence, and being treated unfairly.

Cell C, you just gained a client.

Very frustrated and never to deal with Vodacom again.
