Terrible Service

I queried an arrears amount of R125.07 for a data bundle that I once had but requested that it was cancelled around September/October 2017 after a complete mess that Vodacom made of my upgrade. I must just say that I have not received an invoice for such service since then and took it that the service had been cancelled, On notification that I was in arrears, even though I pay every month on invoice via EFT, I was told that the matter would be escalated. On 29 March 2018 I received a SMS advising me that the matter was resolved with no elaboration of what the resolution constituted. After several SMS's from Vodacom threatening to lock my service due to the arrears even though I had been advised that it was resolved. I decided to call Vodacom and was told by the consultant, unfortunately I did not recall her name, that the resolution was that the arrears would be reversed but that it took 14 days from the date of the SMS confirming the matter was resolved which meant this would happen on the 18th May. The said consultant told me that she would follow up with this query and promised to confirm that the arrears was reversed on the 18th May. Needless to say no follow up call was received. I received an e-mail from Vodacom today advising me that my service was due to be locked. I then phoned Vodacom customer service who advised me that there is no indication that the arrears had been reversed. They would have to escalate the problem again but in the meantime my service would be locked. I was not happy with this arrangement as it would mean I would be inconvenienced because of Vodacoms terrible service. I received a call a little later from Vodacom informing me that they had escalated this problem to the "owner of SMS of the 29th April " and was waiting for a reply. What they would do in the interim is unlock my service should it be locked. Not good enough Vodacom because in the first place the messages from Vodacom regarding the resolution of escalated queries are totally ambiguous, secondly your consultants do not meet their commitment and thirdly I will be inconvenienced. I have had nothing but absolutely shocking service from Vodacom is the last 14 months or so and it appears that there is no correlation between departments and clients are the victims of false or incorrect information from consultants that are not well trained or inadequately informed on your systems.
