Terrible customer services (contract cancellation)

To date no feedback has been given from Vodacom and we are still being debited....

I have a contract with Vodacom ( 079 ********** ) this contract is used on my tablet. I have requested a premature cancellation letter seeing as the contract is no longer in use. I received the cancellation letter on the 9th of November with a balance of R749.25, we paid R750.00 on the 13th of November at Vodacom store at the Greenstone branch. An e-mail was sent to Vodacom on the 14th of November with the proof of payment and all documents signed as requested.

Subsequent to this we received a November invoice dated 15th November 2016 , AFTER the proof of payment was sent to Vodacom. If vodacom will go into our records they will see that this contract has had a constant monthly balance seeing as the contract is not in use. ALSO, note that the premature cancellation discount does not line up with the discount as in the proof of payment document, cancellation quote. We have also been billed R1998.01 for airtime subscription charges, this by far exceeds the historic monthly account for a contract that is not being used.

I have received an e-mail on the 14/11/2016 from ********** with a ref number EC-04FY-16T3L.

I have phoned customer care line on 02/12/2015 ref no: ********** 760028 only to be sent from account department to cancellation department back to accounts, back to cancellations etc etc. Cancellation department has confirmed that the account has been successfully cancelled and account stated telephonically that the November invoice has been wrongly billed.

I then received a debit order for R2395.28 (failed) in December. Again far exceeding the monthly amount. I phoned customer services again on the 14/12/2016 ref no ********** 61214 and being on the phone from 08:44 to 09:08 nothing was resolved, and this was even after speaking to a manager. I received a statement and it clearly shows that my cancellation amount paid was not allocated as such and my contract is STILL ACTIVE? On the statement is a 3G account value R186.99 this is correct and we accept this.

I have spoken to a lady by the name of Seipati in Accounts that tried to assist me but no luck, she transfers me back to Cancellations as according to her there was a short payment on the Premature Cancellation payment we have made of the amount R750.00, my question to her was, how could we have made a short payment if we have received a Quotation for R749.25, I have spoken to a gent by the name of Sibongile in Cancellations and he confirmed that the contract was cancelled on the 14/11/2016, and so I went back to Seipati to relay what Sibongile has informed me that the contract was cancelled, she informed me that I needed to go back to Cancellations to get a Cancellations Confirmation and so I went back and spoke to Xama just to get the answer sorry you need to ask Accounts department for the Cancellations Confirmation.

I then e-mailed Seipati to give me a call back what she did, but then my call got dropped and still no feedback up to now.

I want to know if the contract is still active, if so then why after the cancellation agreement was paid AND sent to Vodacom, also where is the additional R1998.01 invoice then coming from for the airtime subscription charges?

Any assistance is would be appreciated, I am at the point of cancelling all my vodacom contracts but fear that this would be falling into a money pit seeing as Vodacom has no regard for their customers.

Regards,

Natania Smi (Coetzer)

Vodacom Rep**** that a consult will contact us on the 11th of January 2017, today is the 13th and no consultant has phoned?
Again, proof of their poor service....
The clients are clearly just a number to them!

we went to vodacom customer care on the 14th of January, a gentleman by the name of Siyabonga assisted us in making copies and sending it to his back office. We were promised that we would get an answer by the the following Wednesday the 18th.
Again to date no feedback from Vodacom as stated in their reply earlier of from our visit to customer care.
A debit order is now due again and yet the matter is still unresolved.
