Terrible after-sales!

I purchased a mobile router contract online and had it delivered to me last week Monday the 29th of May 2017. I called the call center on the 30th of May to have my sim activated as I noticed it wasn't working. They told me it would be activated within 36 to 72 hours. 72 hours later on Friday the 2nd of June it still wasn't working. I called the call centre and they told me they had to do a manual activation and this would take 24 to 48 hours. Sunday 48 hours later I call the call centre again because it is STILL not active, they tell me well it should actually be 48 BUSINESS hours so I say ok so you're telling me by end of Monday it should be active since I called on Friday? I was told if it's not active by Wednesday the 7th I should call in. Yesterday Wednesday 7th of June guess what?? Still not active. I call the call centre AGAIN and I'm told well your request is still in progress. I ask how can it still be in progress if the required time has lapsed? I'm told it will definitely be active by today. Here I am now thirsday, 2 weeks later with a router that doesn't work, spending hundreds of money on data yet I will be expected to pay a monthly contract fee for this router? Shameful Vodacom, at this point I have the right mind to change cellphone networks when my current cellphone contract ends.

And I never received a response.....and now they won't let me cancel without an early cancellation fee yet the line is still not active.

FYI your terms and conditions say that the contract is not active until the line has been activated
