Terrible accounts deptartment

I have been fighting with the accounts dept for onths now to cancel my debit order for my phone, as the account listed in my contract is no longer active. I took up the option to pay in store rather.

However, despite dozens of phone calls and in store visits, my account is still being debited - which means that the debit order is obviously bouncing. This then results in them charging me a penalty fee ontop of my monthly phone cost. This is totally unfair, as the only reason why they are still trying to get money from that account is because their accounts department is failing to do their jobs.

I have spent hours on the phone waiting for them to answer/take me off hold, and i have gone to speak to countless store clerks and nobody was ever able to help me. ALthough it has happened twice that i was assured that my debit order was concelled, only to find when i went in to pay in store, that i still owed a penalty fee.

I have now been told that due to the number of bounced payments, they have cancelled my debit order (gee thanks) and also that I owe a SECOND penalty fee, even though its still their fault that they are charging a dormant account. I refuse to stand for this absolute waste of time and money - I have done everything that is expected of me, and they cannot keep their end of the contract. So now they have blocked my phone, saying that my accoutnis in arrears, despite me trying to phone them between 2-3 times a week for the past few months!

I am feeling frustrated and tired of being ignored and for having my money wasted on someone else's lack of competence. I will not be upgrading with VOdacom, based ourely on the fact that I cannot trust them to help me recify problems. They are obtuse and not customer related at all.
