Telesales misleading the cosumer

Good day

It was appaulingto note that a Company like Vodcom would take to underhanded activities in order to gt new sales. My mum, was acontacted by lady from Vodacom with an offer to minimise her contract fees, My mum had asked her to call me to ensure that it was iondeed a good offer. I was told that instead of paying R149 for 1 GB dtata every month, i couldnow pay R119 for 2 GB, which ould be added to her cotract. in addition, we would get another sim and a WiFi modem.

I had nquired if this would be addedd to her sim as well as that of the modem and was answered "YES". I got te email add and asked if this was comletely seperate and she had assured me that it would not be any additional items and would be used in her contract, not a seperate addition.

When my mum had spoken to her, the lady had explicitly stated that the new fee would be added on to her cntract and she could use the 2 GB as usual. The WiFi Modem was just an addition. There was no mention of this being an addional contract with a seperate number.

I believe that Vodacon should iether stop this frausulent activivties or better traimn their staff, according to consumer protection act, it is illegeal to sell customers products with incorrect information.
