Talking points *******
Earlier in the year around June/July I had about 1350+- talking points on my number. I went to Vodacom esselen sunnyside to try and redeem points by getting a cell phone but was told they don't have any phones in stock on talking points I must come on the 5/7 July.
I then went to Vodacom menlyn they informed me I can choose a phone but would obviously have to add some monies on it. I was okay with that but after selecting some phones and every time I did the consultant claimed they were out of stock I gave up. He then suggested I wait till my points were 1500 or 2000 for me to try get a phone again. I didn't mind cause I get 800 worth of airtime on the phone every month and 80 points every time the 800 is credited to my phone. So I had to be patient.
That was fine cause I knew I will get the phone still this year. Indeed my points reached 1500 but I didn't rush to Vodacom, I figured I can wait abit to get an even a better phone than those previously offered, however, yesterday Saturday, 14th I received an SMS from Vodacom stating that on the 31 October 2017 160 of my talking points will expire if not used. I must dial *111# free from my cell or visit www.vodacom.co.za to exchange them today! In my shock I dialed *111# not to redeem them but to check if my points were still in order, to my shock I had 1444 worth of points left. Vodacom forcing me to redeem my points so I get cheated out of getting a new phone.
I mean I've worked hard to earn those points R800 worth of airtime monthy for+- 20 months only to have Vodacom take the rewards meant for me away.I used to redeem my points before but I'm assuming some used to disappear like mine just did! I've used this number for years, even have a contract with you guys on my other number but what kind of network are you guys that you take from your loyal clients I am unable to fathom this.
May I have my points returned to me and given a chance to redeem them by picking myself a new phone. Not you guys helping yourself to my points without my permission and since from when are we forced to redeem our points. After being a customer of Vodacom for so long I'd appreciate some fairness from Vodacom.
