Taking legal action against Vodacom

My phone was ****** and i had to do a sim swap. I was told that my number was once contract number and I cannot use a prepaid sim to do a sim swap. The situation is my number is now prepaid and no longer contract but why is it still treated as a contract phone when i have long cancelled the contract. even when it was purchased it was prepaid. It was never bought as a contract but they choose to make it a contract sim in order to make more money as contract sim cards are expensive. I will be laying a complaint with ICASA or whoever dealing with such cases to find out if this is even legal or ******* because it does not make sense. According to the consultant i spoke to this issue has been brought to vodacom s attention on before as customers complained about the whole process but they continue to **** people. I will forward this complaint to the consumer ombud and see if i have a case or not because this feels like ripping customers off
