Taken for a Fool
I have been with Vodacom since it's inception, that is quite a number of years now. I get a call from Vodacom to say that because I have been such a good customer for soo many years, they wish to give me a gift of two (2) cell phones, with some airtime, and two (2) gift vouchers. Wow, great, I mean here I am working my **** off every month to meet my payments, seven contracts = R2000 a month, and they now appreciate me as a customer. I have set myself a goal of really trying to reduce the contracts, so that when they expire, I will cancel them, not all but some, about four, that can go Pay as You Go. Bang! When they say, you get nothing for Nothing, believe it. I now find out it was a con, on behalf of Vodacom, and the two phones are New Contracts, sold through a Call Centre. I log into my account, and see I now have Nine (9) Contracts. I am going to take this to the Consumer Council/ Ombudsman, if Vodacom does not cancel forthwith, the phones are still sealed. I don't need phones, have extra, brand new phones in their boxes lying around, form all the years of upgrades, give them away as gifts even, So why on earth will I enter into New Contracts. Vodacom are a Bunch of *******, they are ******, and can now only up their game by being ********* in their business practices The South African public need to be aware of these ************ company's that will use every trick in the book to con us out of our hard earned cash, and they make billions doing it. Billions, not Millions - BILLIONS...
