Support channels that simply tell you to use the other support channel.

I'm trying to get through to Vodacom because, though I have only SMS roaming enabled, I'm receiving calls (and getting charged even though I don't answer and, when I did manage to speak to someone from Vodacom, they claimed I was making calls) and getting charged for data usage.

I tried using the online chat, but the only time I've managed to get an actual person rather than the completely useless robot, I was told to use ***. When I sent a message to *** I got a reply telling me to use the online chat or the app (which it's not possible to get once outside SA).

I tried Twitter, but there's only what appears to be a **** support account. It's not verified and, in the reply I got from ***, is not a valid Vodacom support channel.

So I continue to get charged for uses of my number that are not me and Vodacom continues to make it as difficult as possible to get anything done.

I still just receive a response that online chat is the way to contact Vodacom. And I'm still getting requests for my ID number from what is apparently a **** Vodacom support Twitter account. And the live agent chat still does not work.

And I'm still waiting. No email from Vodacom customer care even to acknowledge that I will be receiving an email telling me what Vodacom plans to do to address the situation and when it will be resolved.

The only email I've received doesn't appear to be from Vodacom. The from address is vodacom.co.za, but it appears to have been ****fed because it was clearly written by someone who does not speak English, but used something like Google Translate to produce the message.

So, so far there is a **** Vodacom support Twitter account and **** emails ****fing the from address. Surely Vodacom has official channels for customers rather than what appear to be ****s?

I've discovered another way in which the email I've received is clearly from a *******. I have three SMS's telling me the ticket number to which it refers has been closed. So someone is getting actual ticket numbers from the Vodacom system and pretending to be Vodacom.

And I'm still waiting for the fabled contact from Vodacom. All I've received so far is what appears to be a **** email. Why does Vodacom insist on not providing usable ways to contact them other than phoning?
