Super rude customer collections supervisor
I have had it! I have been a Vodacom customer since the beginning and have just had the worst service ever! I did not pay my account on time this month due to the fact that my husband and I am both unemployed and battling to find money. I wanted to make an arrangement to pay later in the month as we are selling off possessions to raise money. Before I could do so however, Vodacom suspended my service without warning ( I didn't receive a phone call or SMS or anything). I just suddenly got a pre-recorded message yesterday when I tried to make a call that says my service has been suspended. I tried to contact the account collections department, but when I punch my number in, I get a recorded message that says that the number entered is not in arrears and I get routed to customer service. The customer service agent battled to get through to collections but eventually did. First the collections agent promised to get a supervisor to call me back. This never happened. I called again this morning, eventually got through to collections and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put through to the rudest person I have ever spoken to in my life. I tried to tell her my story and she kept on interrupting me to say that Vodacom has no obligation to do anything (i.e. warn a customer before locking their line so that they can't even call Vodacom's free numbers or SMS). I was still trying to explain that I just wanted to make an arrangement to pay later in the month and explain my situation, when she hung up on me in mid-sentence. This person should not be allowed to speak to any customers regardless of whether they are in arrears or not!
