On 12.08.2016 I received an upgrade contract phone, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, with a Duo Sim, which I requested a Sim Swop online. I realized the Sim was the incorrect size Sim for the M4 Aqua and I contacted Vodacom call center about the Sim size issue. I was informed that I needed to go to my nearest Vodacom shop, Tubatse Crossing Burgersfort, to get a new Nano Sim. I was charged a R100.00 for a replacement Sim that was not due to my fault, at the Vodacom shop as mentioned above and at the same time in store requested the relevant Sim Swop. I was informed to wait and the Sim Swop would take effect in 2 - 24 Hours. 13.08.2016 the requested Sim Swop had not been completed and I contacted the Vodacom Call Center, 082 111, and was told to continue to wait for the Sim Swop to be completed. 14.08.2016 the requested Sim Swop had still not been completed and I phoned the Vodacom Call Center again in the morning and the consultant indicated that I need to go to a Vodacom Shop, upon which I was informed by the consultants at the Vodacom Shop Tubatse Crossing that they would not be able to assist me and that I needed to call the Vodacom Call Centre. Monday 15.08.2016 my wife contacted the Vodacom Call Centre and was told that on the system it indicated that the new Nano Sim Card had been cancelled and that they are not able to assist with a Sim Swop or amendment over the phone, that the only way for it to be resolved is to go to the nearest Vodacom Shop, a call reference was sent for the inquiry made: ********** 96. At 17:00 I went back to the Vodacom Shop, Tubatse Crossing,as I work from 08:00 to 17:00, there I was told that on the system the new Nano Sim showed as active, and we showed the consultant that the new Nano Sim Swap was not working on the M4 Aqua phone and that the old sim of the old phone is still active. At 18:45 I was given another new Nano Sim and told the system was down and that a Sim Swop could not be completed, and in the meantime my wife contacted the Vodacom Call Center and spoke to several consultants after being placed from one person to another and then the call being dropped, but was promised that a consultant would do a follow up first thing in the morning to confirm that the Newest Sim Swop had been finalized. The Vodacom Store manager indicated that neither the old nor the new phone should be on and have a Sim in them, and as indicated, a consultant would phone my wife which is on the same contract at Vodacom, once the Sim Swop has been completed. Tuesday 16.08.2016 @ 11:00, no consultant has contacted my wife yet to indicate the completion of the Sim Swop. Since I am without a phone, my wife contacted the Vodacom Shop in Tubatse Crossing, the manager , Poppie, indicated that she was not aware of the issue even though the manager of the night before ensured me that there would be a follow up done to resolve the issue. My wife attempted to log a complaint, after the phone conversation, online, and was told to phone the Vodacom Call Center, after requesting the procedure for logging a complaint, the consultant from the Vodacom Call Center, refused to assist as she is not the account holder, even though she explained to the consultant that the Vodacom Store, Tubatse Crossing, had told us to keep both phones, old and new switched of until Vodacom had contacted us back, and that I am working between sites, so no land line is available to contact me by, my cellphone is the sole telephonic equipment that I have. The consultant indicated that only when I contact them would they assist, eve though during this whole working day I have absolutely no telephonic correspondance. I returned to the Vodasom Shop, Tubatse Crossing @ 12:00 and was once again told that I need to wait till 17:00 this afternoon and one way from our home to the Vodacom Shop only is 25km not even referring to having to leave my work during work hours to beg Vodacom for service delivery. If I should be in trouble or an issue occurs I am sure Vodacom will not take liability for their generous lack of service.
