Subscriptions unbeknown to clients
Once again my airtime has disappeared due to subscriptions. When I contacted customer care I was told that I had 2 subscription. R7 a day for My download Silver and R5 a day for Amp up. This exceeds my contract amount of R200 per month. When I received the sms advising that the subscriptions has been cancelled, I received 2 different companies, Wildworld and Extra Ride. Once again Vodacom feels that cancelling this non sensical subscriptions after paying for months resolves them from taking any responsibility.
I go through this exercise at least twice a year and the frustrating part is that they pay my money over to a third party without confirming directly with me, their client, if this transaction is authorized.
I would like to get my money back as soon as possible and once again as requested previously to be contacted before my contract money with Vodacom gets paid to third parties without my written consent or at the least receive an sms where I confirm in writing that I agree to the subscription.
These third parties seems to have more rope with Vodacom than Vodacom clients. All they need to tell Vodacom is that the client pressed a button (by mistake or not), whilst the client have to defend him or her self to prove that this is not the case. Where is the ethical approach of giving the client transparency.
Someone benefits from this and it is not the client.
