Submitted 3 cancellation requests, account still active. Cannot get through to cancellations dept - FRUSTRATING!!!!

My Vodacom contract came up for renewal on 3 Sept (upgrade due in June). I decided to cancel instead and called Vodacom on 23 July to cancel my contract (30 days notice). I asked the lady I spoke to if I needed to email anybody so that I have something in writing. I was assured that they accept cancellations telephonically. She said he noticed my end date is 3 Sept but would put it through for end Aug.

I also went onto the myVodacom and cancelled online twice. The site does not give a reference number or confirm the cancellation.

So fast-forward to 30 Aug, I call in again and the Vodacom consultant tells me my number is no longer on the system and has been deleted. At this stage I was also unable to log into myVodacom. So I took it that my account has been cancelled.

1 Sept, I see that my account is STILL active. So I call in again, Tatum advises that my account is still active and tells me that even if my contract end date is 1 Sept they will bill me for the entire month (25 months). She says she can`t assist any further and transfers me through to cancellations. Before she does I tell her there is something wrong with the call routing at Vodacom because I always end up at the wrong dept.I`m transferred, hold for 15 mins and eventually hang up. It is impossible to get through to the cancellations dept.

I want this account cancelled today. I will forfeit my 240 free minutes, data and 900 sms`s

This is so frustrating. Can someone at Vodacom PLEASE call me to sort this out!
