Struggling for 10 months to get Vodacom to cancel a contract

A data contract I had with Vodacom ended on 27 November 2024. At that time someone phoned me and I told them I wanted the plan cancelled since the ****le I used was broken. Since November 2024, that is R99 per month, that I have paid for but not used. In good faith, I assumed it had been cancelled. On Thursday 29 May 2025 I discovered that the above contract had not been cancelled. I phoned Vodacom asking why my data contract (number - ***) still hadn’t been cancelled and to cancel it. Nothing happened. On 7 August, I sent an email asking why Vodacom is simply ignoring my cancellation requests and why I'm still paying! I spoke to a very nice lady at Customer Care, who said she’d keep pushing cancellations to cancel the contract. She was going to call me back to check. Unfortunately, I was ill and couldn’t take her call. Today is 8 September, and I again called Vodacom to find out why they’re not cancelling this contract. The agent said she would cancel it, but that I would still have to pay for two months because it’s a 30 day cancellation. What the heck about the months of cancellations since I first tried to cancel this? I want my money back that I have been paying since the first time I tried to cancel this contract!
