STOP UPSELLING AND CANCEL THE ****** CONTRACT

I had a contract with Vodacom which came with 2 phones, a Samsung S8 and a Samsung J5, contact numbers *** and *** respectively.

I called in April for a settlement and to cancel the contract, I was given a settlement amount and I paid it on the 17 of April 2020. I was told to wait 30 days for the contract to close and update on the bureau.

To my surprise, on the 8th of June I received an email of my invoice that I am owing R304.98 which I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. HOW????

On 25 June 2020, I called collections using ***) and spoke to Zanele from Subscriber Collections, who confirmed this information and stated that she can see that the *** number was closed, but the *** number was kept open and that is the account that is owing. HOW THE **** IS THIS POSSIBLE??????? Are the numbers not on a combined contract thus if I closed the contract BOTH are CLOSED???

Zanele then put me through to a very *********** and rude Lavendral or some weird name like that from cancellations who was not bothered by my complaint but rather stated “Don’t worry, there is an upside to this situation….” AN UPSIDE FOR WHO???? This is reflecting on my name on the bureau and I’m told I owe Vodacom and amount that I DO NOT KNOW AND RECOGNISE AND YOUR SALES- DRIVEN CONSULTANT HAS THE NERVE TO UPSALE ME IN THE MIDST OF MY FRUTRATION????!!!! REALLY????!!! He was not bothered to listen to anything I had to say, he kept interrupting me in the hopes that I upgrade. The environment was so loud I could hardly hear myself and worse of all he had the nerve to keep going silent on me for about 5-8 minutes with no explanation. The ****** agent has no phone etiquette whatsoever. Nor does he have any regard for clients. SO RUDE! He also promised to call me back within an hour which he OBVOUSLY DID NOT, he also promised to escalate my issue to his team leader, which would call me today. I DOUBY HE MADE THAT ESCALATION as I am still waiting for that call. He gave me the reference number: 1 – 34*******5. IF IT IS EVEN VALID.

And if they were to be separated WHY THE HELL WAS THIS COMMUNICATED TO ME BY YOUR AGENT FROM THE BEGINNING??? This is having a negative impact on my credit record and I AM NOT WILLING TO PAY THE R304.98 as I was not told that the contract is no longer a combined contract. To my knowledge, I cancelled the whole contract and not parts or it.

Why am I not educated by the consultant when I called to cancel??? I DO NOT WORK FOR VODACOM THUS I DO NOT KNPW YOUR PROCESSES!!!!!

You better sort this out by latest TUESDAY – 30 JUNE 2020 or I am involving ICASA. ****** *********** Up-sale-chasing consultants. I WILL BE WAITING ON THAT PAID UP LETTER.

I have been contacted but I have not been assisted. I’m still waiting for my paid up letter. And your CEO’s office is not responding.
