****** Airtime
Customer care, surely have no idea how to treat or elevate a problem. My airtime on my prepaid phone, disappears after loading. This happened on 27 Dec. Amount of R206 was taken. They did reload R150 on my account, i also load R100. To my dismay, found that also to be transferred to an unknown number. So the reality started, customer care, said i did or someone else used my phone. This however was never the case. After daily calls, on 30 Dec this was elevated to forensic analysis. Today is 05 Jan and i can’t use my phone to make calls. I again load money in the amount of R300 to buy data. After the data purchase, there were R26 left on airtime, this also went missing. To have a cellphone that is of no use, can’t be justified. My number is on pre paid for a few years now, and Vodacom still can’t figure that, as they repeatedly, ask me where my statements are send to. I have this number, since cellphones started in South Africa. I just need to have the use if my service back to me. I have no alternative to then accept my loss as ****** via Vodacom, and migrate my number to a service provider that care.
Background. On 27 Jan, R208 of airtime was **********ly transferred from my phone to an unknown number.
I happened to speak to a human and raised my concern. I then bought via mu bank, airtime for R100. This was taken the dame day. On 29 Dec, Vodacom then reimburse me with R150. This was also transferred the same day. Now i had customer support to possibly understand the ***** problem.
This was elevated to the forensic analysis department on 29 Dec.
After the new year i made regular phone calls to Vodacom. On 7 Jan Vodacom loaded R300 airtime and for the first time i made two calls from my phone. To my dismay, all were transferred on 8 Jan without notification. I once again contacted Vodacom on Monday 10 Jan and they promised me a call back. That never happened. I followed up on 11 Jan and was once again promised to get a call.
Needless to say, every time i was told the same story. They blamed me for the transfers. Now my line is blocked according to their customer care. This is as customer not ideal to not be able to use ny phone. I use this number for all of my transactions. At a bank app, i could not even respond to a sms.
Today is 12 Jan and since 27 Dec could not make use of my phone except for getting Vodacom customer care to phone me.
Next step, is that Vodacom will now try to disable transfers from my number. That is an idea, but then the person having access to my account, and to do it from my number will still roam free.
All if this, and there is no resolution. Why am i now being punished for a flaw in Vodacom systems. Any reason why i still want to be a customer of Vodacom
