Still paying for a cancelled VODACOM contract
My wireless 10GB data contract ended at the end of May this year. I notified Vodacom (through their website - on a phone back from them), that I did not wish to renew as I now had a fibre connection. I was advised that as I had only advised them after the 1st of May I would have to pay up to the end of June. This seemed unfair as Vodacom were in anycase not due to continue this contract without me having confirmed a renewal. However, I felt I could not argue and accepted - IT IS STILL NOT CANCELLED. Despite numerous calls and being contacted by Vodacom I am still paying for 10 GB of data which have not been used by me since end the end of my contract - i.e. 31 May 2020. Reference number - Despite requesting a reference number each time I have been contacted I was told that this would be provided on the email which would be sent to me. To date no email and thus no reference number has been provided Does Vodacom purposely make it impossible to cancel a contract when its time period ends? If so, they are being paid for 10GBs that are not being used. This is to my mind nothing short of theft. I have given up trying to get this resolved through the normal Vodacom channels, and have had to use the hellopeter platform in the hope of getting this problem resolved once and for all. Thank you HelloPeter for your platform. Judith

I would like to congratulate you for your prompt and efficient handling of my problem. I was contacted by Dean at 18:20 on Monday evening. He was amazingly efficient, friendly, and patient and I was delighted to share some moments of humour with him. I do so hope that Vodacom recognises his excellent people skills as well as his excellent capabilities, if there were a star rating for Dean I would have ticked 10 out of 10 stars.
Sincerely
