Still not satisfied with Vodacom!!!

My original complaint...

Good day.

I would like to make everyone aware of the pathetic service that vodacom gives their clients. A few weeks ago I phoned vodacom on behalf of my father and spoke to Wlliam to enquire how much it would be to add 2g data to his contract as he was on a contract for R283 airtime, which did not include data and this would end June this year. William then advised of the price and we accepted, but had said that my father was supposed to have BIS as this was included in the R283? What happened to the year and a half's BIS data????? When asking William he quickly advised that BIS was discontinued, but that he would give my father an extra gig for inconvenience. Nevertheless we accepted, but the gig was never received. In the meantime he had received the new billl, only to be contacted by a lady on Monday for an upgrade.???? My father had accepted the terms as it was cheaper, data would be included and a new phone. He then received an sms with tracking number to say that the phone is on it's way. This morning a man phoned him for delivery, only to find out that our address with vodacom is incorrect. I have now tried 9 times to get through to upgrades with the number they gave me ********** , which keeps going through to customer contracts. When they get me through to upgrades, the phone is either dropped or the conversation is cut off?????? Does anyone know what the hell they are doing??? Conveniently only one person gave her name. I will be taking this complaint further. If you value your clients at all you will contact my father Francois on ********** 662

Replies and responces:

Hi Wayne

I tried calling your father on the number you provided but it keeps routing to voice-mail, please advise of a more suitable time to call and we will be in touch.

^RC

Me :His number is correct, just another excuse to avoid the problem. ********** 662 or call him on ********** 375 my number. Phone in the morning.

Hi Wayne

I tried calling your dad on the number provided but the first one was ringing and routed to voicemail and the other number was gentle answered and said it is a wrong number .

^DS

Me: I was here when you called. Phone was dropped when he answered and there is nothing wrong with my number, it is no longer a vodacom number but a cell c number as I was sick and tired of vodacom's useless excuses and lies! Try again, u guys are just not wanting to speak to either of us!

Hi Wayne

I tried calling today but could not get through.

Let us know when would be a good time to call again?

^WW

Me: My dad has been sitting with his phone the whole day waiting.

THEN A SUDDEN PHONE CALL. To chane the incorrect address from Kimberley to the correct one. BUT NO MENTION OF THE BIS DATA THAT WAS ****** FOR 1 1\2 years and on his new bill for the 1\3\2017 he is still being charged for BIS AFTER WILLIAM HAD EXPLICITLY TOLD NE THAT IT WAS DISCONTINUED????.

The message after the phone call:

Hi Wayne

As per our chat, I have updated your address details on the account and requested an update with Ram.

^CM,

This morning my dad was contacted to say the phone will be delivered by 12pm, when nothing came, we phoned to find out that the address details were never updated!!!!!

My message to vodacom:

Yet another stuffup by vodacom. They phoned this morning to say that they will deliver the phone by 12pm. Only to find out now that it was sent to Kimberley????? This after we were told yesterday that the address details were corrected????? What is wrong with you people??????

Will they EVER get it right????

Now, today a package came. Not a phone but a tablet? Anyhow, my dad seems happy with it, but what about the issue regarding the BIS gig's that he never received for 1 1/2 years? This has not been mentioned by any of the people that phoned to correct the address issue. Still they are avoiding the biggest issue. Taking this further!
