STILL NO SERVICE

On August 06, 2016 I upgraded to a Sony Xperia M4 and had no problems until Monday, March the 13th of this year.

I message my boyfriend put my phone down and fell asleep on the couch when I woke up my phone did not light up. I received calls and messages, heard noises from pushing the volume buttons on the side of the phone. The following day I took my phone to the Vodacom shop in Hyde Park Corner the technician at the store booked my phone in for repairs after I explained the situation to them and after he tested the phone too. On the report from the instore technician, there were NO DAMAGES to my phone. The technician explained to me that it may take a while at the repair center because that phone is a sensitive phone. I told him it is fine as long as if the and when the phone come back they can keep it for me because two weeks from then I will be on school holidays.

On April 09, 2017 I went to the store with my copy of the report to hear if there is any news on my phone. The technician called the repair center to find out about my phone because the phone was not in store yet. The lady spoke to me and she told me, then I asked to speak to the lady myself. First, her customer service was unacceptable and she spoke so soft I was barely able to hear her. She explained to me, in short, they quoting me R710.25 for repairs because of customer abuse. I asked her how come and she told me the USB connector is damaged and it may happen when I pull the phone while on charge, I explained to her that there is no problem with my USB but rather with the phone's light, she did not really give me an explanation on why the USB and not the actual problem, I told her to email the quote to the store because I will investigate further.

After the call, I told the technician I don't understand that they charging me for the USB while with my previous phone they did not charge me for a USB due to a similar problem. He advised me to call head office.

That night and the following day I went on to the website and asked for a call me back service. I received a popup notification they have received my request and will call me back within 24 hours. I received no call and did a call me back request several times after.

On April 13, 2017, I went back to the Vodacom store in Hyde Park Corner and they called the repair center once again. I then spoke to Johan explained to him the situation he told me that I should understand that on store level they do not have the advanced equipment they have at the repair center I told him that that is understandable but how can they say it is customer abuse when there is not even a scratch or dent on that phone and that is a ver sensitive phone with a mirror effect back panel. We have not come to a solution but he did tell me to call head office and take it up with them. I told that I'm not willing to go to any more expenses from my side because I'm paying for a service and phone which I have not been able to use in almost 4 weeks now. He gave me a toll-free number with a repair reference number to call.

Due to circumstances I were only able to call on April 15, 2017, I explained to the lady the situation and she told me that she is not able to help me because she can not see the reference number on her side due to it being a repair she then gave me a toll-free number for the repair center and told me that their only open on Mondays to Fridays from 8am-5pm and not on public holidays.

Due to Monday being a public holiday I only called the repair call center April 18, 2017. and spoke to Chinese. I explained to her the situation and told her I am fed up with Vodacom's customer's service because since now have been told to call this one and then that person reference me to another person and since then have not been assisted in any way. She at some point during the conversation said that on a report on her side there were scratches on my phone. I imitately flipped and raised my voice while saying that when I went to the store and the technician booked my phone in there were no physical or external damages to my phone and since then there are scratches on my phone. She wanted to explain but at some point, I told her thank you for the piece of information and then dropped the call.

The following day (April 19, 2017) my father took matters into his hands after seeing that they do not take me seriously. He spoke to Annetjie, explained to her the situation and events that took place she told him she is not able to overwrite the outcome but will take it up with her managers and call back the following day. My father told her that if they don not have an acceptable answer, repair the phone or provide me with a new phone by April 26, 2017, he will take the matter up with Hello Peter.

Today is April 28, 2017, and neither I or my father have received any calls from a Vodacom repetitive with a solution on this matter.

Official business reply
Apr 28, 2017
Dear Customer,

Thank you for making us aware of your complaint.

Kindly be advised that a consultant will make contact with you in due course to assist with your query.

***Please note*** Beware of phishing ****s.

Vodacom will not contact you via Whatsapp to request your personal details

Regards,
Vodacom Consumer Website Team

VastiPN rep****:
May 8, 2017
It's been over a week now and still I have not received a single notification on how Vodacom is reacting on this matter.

The last notification I recived from Vodacoms side was on April 28, 2017 when I wrote my review on Hello Peter.

The poor service I'm receiving from Vodacoms side is really irretating me and I'm considering to cancel my contact at this point.

It's been over two months that I have not been able to use a service that I'm paying for.

It's nearly 3 weeks now and Stil I have not received one phone call or whats app message like zi was promised on April 28, 2017.
