STILL NO RESPONSE 8 MONTHS LATER!

This was initally submitted in May and June.

Brendan Lategan was going to make contact, as per the sms i recieved from VODACOM.

It is now the 12th of September and i still have no resolution or clarity on my complaint.

My last communictaion with Vodacom was on the 15th of August with AUBREY **********
He was going to escalate this issue to yet another manager (10th one thus far)

Here it goes again!!!! 8 months later!!!

On 6 January 2016, I paid in R1424 to cancel and line I had with Vodacom

The cancellation/payment was processed at the Vodacom Data store in Sandton.

Vodacom did not debit my account in Jan. When i called in to enquire why this had happened they advised me that i had a credit on my account which was sufficient for the bill so they did not need to deduct funds from my bank account. After probing them they advised me that they had passed a credit on my account for billing me incorrectly for DATA and that I had paid EXTRA funds into my Vodacom account.

I quickly realised that they had incorrectly posted the R1426 to my account instead of the cancellation of the line.

I advised them that the money was paid in for a cancellation and that it should be rectified. I was told that it would be.

At the end of February, Vodacom had the audacity to deduct approximately R3400 from my account. When i called to enquire why, i was advised that i had asked for a line to be cancelled (the same line i paid in R1426 to cancel in January). After 45min on the line, i assured that a call would be logged and a credit would be passed on my account. I was also advised to go into the bank and reverse the transaction from my bank account, which i did.
I was given a ref number - that was the last i heard from Vodacom!!!

In March my account was debited with R2200. I again went in the bank to reverse the debit order as i was told by another agent. At this point i had already logged 3 SR's and emailed Customer Care about 7 times, each time the SR would get closed with NO NOTES or the email query would be routed to another dept - PASSING THE BUCK.
After 5 months, 15 emails to Customer Care and speaking to 22 agents, the issue is still not resolved.
My line has been cut 3 times, yet NO ONE can resolve the issue.
I have made payment on the account manually and have been advised by another advisor that i should pay my bill less the amount i am disputing.
What gets to me is that there are NO NOTES ON THE SYSTEM. NO CALLS CAN BE RETREIVED AND EACH PERSON I SPEAK CANNOT PROVIDE ME WITH A REF NUMBER.
This is a list of some of the people i have dealt with over the last 5 months.
Sonja, Ashwin, Gerald, Munieb, Karabo, Phariso, Anthea, Rose, Sebastion, Alida, Busisiwe.
I was called by a lady from the accounts dept last week and finally reached a solution. She would reverse the cancellation and adjust my account so that i would not be in arrears due to VODACOM's incompetence. That call cannot be traced and there are no notes on the system either. My line has been locked and after 3 failed attempts speaking with any competent agent at Vodacom (***), I give up.
NO ONE takes accountability at Vodacom. Departments to not speak to each other. There is no formal logging and feedback process. No manager has ever called me back and the escalation gets lost between systems.
This has been THE worst service or LACK THEREOF I have ever received. 10 years on and I am finally ready to cancel my contract!!!
