STILL NO PHONE FOR A WEEK. THANK YOU, VODACOM

I woke up last Wednesday morning, ie: 7th December, to find that my connection to the Vodacom network had been cut off. I telephoned customer service who tried everything to reconnect me. Eventually they sent me to the Vodacom shop in my centre and I dealt with Abigail who informed me that I would need to do a sim swap, which i did, She also informed me that it would take 4 to 24 hours to be resolved. This did not work.

The following day, I contacted Abigail again and was informed that she had tried a second sim swap and as this had also not worked, she had reported it to the IT department as a precaution. She also referred me to Mr. Shaun Higgs at the Vodacom shop in Woodmead as she was aware that he had been able to assist another customer with the same issue a short while before.

I went to see Mr. Higgs on Friday and he was particularly charming and told me that he knew exactly what the problem was. He explained that because a second sim swap had been attended to, this had caused some sort of problem on the network which could only be removed by a very limited number of people in the country, He took both my work numbers and promised me he would resolve it and keep me updated.

I tried to telephone Mr. Higgs on numerous occasions later that day so that I could give him another number which I would be using to make and receive calls, but i could not get through to his shop on either number provided.

I tried on both lines all the way through the weekend and both lines were constantly engaged or just rang out.

I then telephoned Mr. Higgs on Monday morning (ie: 12th December) at approximately 11H30 and spoke to a lady who informed me that Mr. Higgs would be back in the shop at approximately 12H00.

As I had heard nothing from Mr. Higgs, I tried to reach him again at approximately 13H30. I was told by Priscilla that he was busy with a client. I emphasised the urgency and told her that this would be the second message left for him.

At 14H30 and because I was now getting extremely frustrated, I telephoned the Woodmead branch a third time and spoke to Priscilla again. I informed her that if I did not hear from Mr. Higgs before 15H00 yesterday, ie: 12th December 2016, I would have no option but to approach head office.

I have still not had the courtesy of a call from him.

I am dismayed at the service that I received from Mr. Higgs and very disappointed that I still do not have a phone just under a week later. This makes no sense at all.
