Still no one listening or taking ownership
This is a follow-up on my previous post because not much has changed. Since my original post I have since discovered that an unauthorised SIM swap was performed on my account and the replaced SIM card was used to clock up a large bill, 30x the normal value.
Since then I have been receiving e-mail reminders to pay this bill and warnings of "legal action". I have phoned a number of times and between being cut off midway, endlessly holding on for an operator that never answers, the menu system that only works occasionally and call centre operators that can't assist due to a long list of excuses, I am left stranded with a large bill due to *****, no way to communicate or dispute this account or bring it to anyone's attention. Let's not even mention trying to get hold of the cancellations department.
The ***** department apparently doesn't communicate with the accounts department, no one in accounts cares or could be bothered to record this dispute anywhere. Vodacom apparently has no problem getting hold of you if they want something, just don't expect the same of them. They don't reply on e-mails, are allergic to picking up a phone to assist a customer and couldn't care an iota on assisting. Having to deal with Vodacom to try and resolve this was much worse than the violation caused by the ***** itself.
Vodacom, if it was your attention to make all customers feel ignored and unimportant then you have done a superlative job and should be congratulated because in this regard, your service is unsurpassed. Your response to HP complaints is a joke, you appear to have no intention of acknowledging or trying to resolve anything.
So why am I posting this? Simple, I want the ***** department to complete their investigation, to pass credits on my account to sort out the ********** amounts. Then I want you to send me an invoice for the actual amounts I owe you and I will pay these. Then I want you to cancel my subscription and account and to put a note on your system that if my ID number is ever used to try and obtain another Vodacom service that it will automatically be declined. Then you need to remove all other traces of my existence from all your systems so that I will never have the misfortune of ever having to deal with this diabolical company again.
