*****sters claiming they from Vodacom

On Tuesday I recieved a call from a Willem Botha telling me I have won some summer competition He proceeded with telling me all the security quotes and asked for me to confirm witch I did As the conversation went on he informed me that I was short of points and needed 30 more point to qualify for the prises Willem Botha even sent me a msg to my cell phone with what I won and then request me to pay R200 to an account so that the points could be added .There was some error and he advised hell sort this out with the department but will call me back he did 5 times ..there was even a currier man who called claiming to be from RAM curries wanting my address ...something didn't sit well with me as they called again requesting more money I then called Vodacom in Randburg as that was where they supposedly called from and they had no idea who this man was . I'm not unhappy that I didn't win I'm angry at Vodacom for not protecting my information and for not alerting their customers that *****sters are calling them claiming to be from Vodacom My information should have been protected as per the POPY act law yet Vodacom allowed for someone to get their hands on my information . This Willem Botha could tell me I've been a long standing customer with Vodacom and they calling from the rewards department and I was on their list of winners wow he knew their processes . Yes I have been a very long standing customer with Vodacom but after this they will loose me as a customer .I know that in not the only customer this happened but I'm making others aware that they should be careful if they get calls like this .Seeing that my Vodacom is failing to alert their customers
