*****ING MONEY, DAY-BY-DAY (******** debit orders)

I have been a loyal Vodacom customer for the last 13 years and I have had nothing but horrible experiences during this time. Not just from the stores but also from the top (Head Office) and from the customer care.

Aside the many complaints I have laid since now, the latest is one that makes me sick to think about.

Vodacom goes and decides that they will be increasing the data fees on my contract without any prior warning or indication that this would occur. This means that Vodacom ********ly deducted a different amount from my account, to what I signed and agreed on upon taking out this contract. They then proceed to tell me (customer care) that their managers will not be assisting me as there is nothing they can do. I am currently paying R419.13 per month, JUST on data, and the best is, FOR ONLY 2GB!!!!

Where in your life do you find it acceptable for someone to pay R419.13 for 2GB's worth of data? My device is a mere R17.39, my VAS a mere R8.69 and my total bill is R445.21 which is mainly made up of the data cost?

This is not just robbing people, this is offensive to think that Vodacom would do this and not expect any push back.

Again, I reiterate that I signed a contract with an amount linked to it, that is what was agreed would be debited from my account. What Vodacom is currently debiting is done without my consent or knowledge!

How is this acceptable Vodacom??

AGAIN, I did not authorize the deduction of this amount nor was I notified of the increase at any stage. Your tactless customer care consultant who I spoke to also omitted to provide me with proof of you letting me know about the increase. You have, without my consent and knowing, deducted an amount from my bank account which I am definably not okay with.

Do you understand what it means to "ilegally debit" someone's account without their consent or knowledge?

To top this off, your pathetic customer care division has not even made an attempt to contact me following my complaint. Yet, I am not surprised, why would they? I am one of thousands of people complaining and it makes no difference to you as an entity.

I will not pay a single cent to Vodacom going forward and you are welcome to then block the number and contract. If you are able to start deducting money from my account without my consent, I am surely in a position where I can stop using your services as a result thereof.

I will also being cancelling my Company contract with Vodacom, which, currently, has 43 employees making use of your service. If this is how you treat the majority, we will move away from you completely. Further to this, I will also have our family business not renew any of their contracts (15 contracts) that is expiring at the end of May 2022.

I have no interest in responding to you on here any further. If you wish to clarify anything, you are welcome to contact me via email.

Thanks,
