*****ING LOYAL CUSTOMER'S MONEY AFTER THEY ARE TOO USELESS TO DO THEIR JOB CANCELLING THE CONTRACT AS PER CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT.
One of my husbands data contracts was due for cancellation on 30 April. As required my husband contacted Vodacom to cancel the contract on the 30th of March. They told him that he would receive an email confirming the cancellation throughout the course of the day. Well the following week he called once again to confirm if the cancellation was being processed and they once again confirmed that the cancellation will go through and it will end on 30 April 2022. They apparently had an issue with the cancellation because the number is still on the old system but assured him that it would definitely be done. They once again confirmed that he would receive an email but yet again that never happened. He did his part so we expect them to do theirs seeing that the calls get recorded. To our frustration he had to hear that the number is still active and working. Can someone that is competent please cancel this deal as we refuse to pay another months bill. Someone did call him to try and persuade me to keep the contract but we have installed fiber so we don't need it. Another call was lodged with reference number ***. I don’t know how it is possible that a contract cannot get cancelled with Vodacom. I am going to the ombudsman with this because this is the second time this has happened. It is not legal to charge your loyal customers inflated prices from R299 now all of a sudden R629 after we did the necessary. You will definitely make sure we tell everyone to rather stay on pre-paid and not take a contract with you...EVER. Cancellation calls on 30 March, 7 April, 5 May and then we eventually got a reference number. Email sent to customer care to have the R629 removed on 7 May and still no call no email no nothing.
