Stay away from Vodacom, Avoid sim-only contracts or any contract for that matter

This is probably my 5th Vodacom review, Since my initial reviews, I have closed 3 of my 4. Vodacom lines. Now left with 1. After my contract expired for about a year, I was not planning to upgrade the remaining line. I was contacted by a telesales and somehow convinced me to take a 24 Months, sim-only contract. I am having network issues, With Vodacom not being able to resolve any service request. The last one was opened on the 6th, and no logical explanation, and no escalation process. (Poor call centre agents can not escalate) I though the most sensible thing to do is cancel the sim-only contract. It turns out it is not a month notice as advised by the Vodacom telesales, but even with sim-only, I have to pay for the remaining 19 months. I am struggling to understand why I am expected to pay for the remaining period on sim-only. Be careful. do not fall prey.

Hi, Thank you, I have received 2 calls from the network team advising me they have a backlog (That is understandable). I will monitor for the next week or so. I will update my rating based on the results. I am however satisfied with the consultant who called me.

I have not heard back from the technician since he mentioned the backlog. We are 2 weeks since I received an update that my query will be resolved within the following week.
