Staff lies, unwilling to provide adequate feedback

On Sunday I did an upgrade deal which included an Apple TV, I was informed stock will have to be ordered, which I was happy with for to wait. On Tuesday I went back to the store, as their phone rings unanswered, the consultant I dealt with wasn’t on duty, I ask another consultant if the stock was ordered and if they could provide an expected delivery time. I was informed my consultant is on duty the next day and then she’ll notify me. The next day I didn’t receive any feedback, I went back to the store on Thursday as the phones still rings unanswered. The consultant went into the back to check on stock and came back informed me they received a delivery and are busy checking if my device arrived. After a short while she came back informing me it wasn’t delivered and was promised to be contacted the next day with an update. This afternoon I went back to the store, as I haven’t received any feedback and their phone still rings unanswered. The consultant I dealt with when doing the upgrade already left for the day so I spoke to another consultant requesting an update, this consultant, very unfriendly, advised me that I will have to wait until Jan 2018 as the warehouse has close on the 15th and she doesn’t think that an order could have been placed. Very surprised by this information I wanted to know why this was never communicated to me during the past week. The consultant still very unfriendly waffled some other excuses and I insisted on an explanation. She the suggested that I speak to the store manager, which I agreed with. She went to call the manager and had a conversation with him first. Upon the manager’s arrival where I was waiting he advised me that he is trying to contact the warehouse to get an update. Even more surprised I then wanted to know why he would try to contact the warehouse if they closed on the 15th as the consultant advised me. At this point I requested written proof that the order was placed on Monday as initially said to me. The manager went to speak to the stock guy, please note that none of these conversations between the staff members ever happened in my presence, they walked away each time, The manager then logged into some online system, downloaded a pdf document showing in and out of stock items. The Apple TV is not listed in any of these lists , so he told me because it’s not on these lists there is no stock at the warehouse. I then again requested written proof that the order was placed and also asked why at the time of placing the order the warehouse didn’t informed the store that they are out of stock and the item will be on back order. Again the manager went to speak to his stock guy, I was then informed that they cannot show me the order number as it is confidential information, I didn’t want to see the order number, I just wanted confirmation that the order was placed. I was informed that I will have to take their word. Based on the blatant lie the consultant told about the warehouse closed on the 15th, which the manager didn’t apologize for by the way, I cannot take anyone in the store’s word. Eventually I had to leave the store as the manager just advised me that he will follow up with the consultant, I did the deal with, on Wednesday via WhatsApp as he is not in the whole week. I had to pay the admin fee ofR150 on Sunday before I could receive the phone that is part of this deal but I haven’t received all the product and the service afterwards is very poor. I find this store’s service very unprofessional and they are giving the Vodacom brand a bad reputation.

Reviewer Update
I have not yet received any form of communication neither have I received the device and it is past 12 noon today. Since this review the store has received the device ordered, didn’t notify me to collect and sold the device to another customer. I would like to know now what Vodacom SP is prepared to do to still resolve this issue today. Yet another debit order was successfully processed from my account as it is the the case majority of the past 10years, no I am asking Vodacom SP to step in to assist your loyal customer in order to resolve this issue today and that receive the device today. I have waited patiently, I have paid the admin fee, will be paying the fee for early upgrade, paying my service fee religiously every month, now it is your turn to show your appreciation for your customer or allow me to cancel this without being penalized in any way whatsoever.
