I am an unhappy as a client because of how my account is being treated. I will state the reasons for my dissatisfaction: 1. I called in late last year (November to be more specific) to find out about the expiry date for my different contracts and I was given different dates by different consultants: After calling in for the 3rd time I was told I had taken out a contract on my number ( ********** 603) which I had not, when I called a consultant from the recovery/loyalty team instead offered me a five gig on my ********** 367 (as a renewal, but I was not sure about that too because the contract that was expiring was my 064 (data line))and I called to enquire when that will start only to be told that was never done. 2. I got an sms saying that my contract was expiring 2021/01 as I had taken a new contract, I queried that and I was asked to send an email to ********** and I was to be given feedback after 7 w/d. I did not get my feedback, instead I noticed that there was a query number on my app which was loaded on the same day I had called. When I gave the consultant my reference number she told me the documents I had attached where not attached on my query and I was asked to call another department. I lost the number, meaning I never got to call. Instead I sent through another email to the same email address given stating that I hope my query would be dealt with this time around. 3. Another time, I bought 1gig on my Capitec app, only to get another SMS stating that my 1g contract has been activated. I called again to understand what was happening and the consultant said it looks as if I had renewed my contract which was wrong because I only bought a once-off data bundle. Then she explained that I also bought 50 SMS bundle which was recurring, also not true because I did not chose that option. Both of these were cancelled. Which resulted in my not getting my SMS that I had traded my airtime for. 4. I call in today to find out about the initial contract which I had taken of 1g with 140 minutes (I am not sure about the minutes) which is the only contract I took out on this number ( ********** 603) in 2017 after I had called Vodacom to cancel my contract and I was given this one because of being a “loyal customer”. Khumbuzile (call details2019-05-06 @ 14:50 until 15:05) told me that I was only getting the free minutes the data option was not activated for my line, and I was going to be charged +R300 this month for my services, I asked what changed seeing that I did not have any data option activated on this number, she explained that I took out a 2gig contract last month, Which again I did not.
Now these are few of the things that are becoming a norm with Vodacom, I need to call in 3+ times before I get some kind of attention to my complaint, and I see that calling you is becoming an even bigger problem for me. Because once I call, some other service is being taken out for me without my acknowledgement or agreement. I did not receive the 2gig, nor do I want it.
This is not treating customer fairly, nor is it some kind of customer service I deserve. It’s the worst service ever. I’ve been calling since October last year trying to cancel my contract because of affordability issues but you guys seem to be pilling them on instead of assisting as a customer. I need for all my contract to be cancelled. The ********** 367 and the ********** 603.
I was told that this will take 7-14 working days, which I will await, but the debit order of more than the normal amount I will dispute
The worst thing is that Khumbuzile did not give me the correct email for the complaints dept.
Best regards,
