******* spamming ****

Getting as much as 10 spam marketing messages daily I didn't opt in for and even get them when I have opted out. Further more they have network locked a cash purchase phone forcing me to use their network and put up with their spam advertising and keep paying for data on their network. I hope someone sues the brakes off this network. Strong arming people to force adverts of their partners down your throat is blatant abuse of their market.

A representative has indeed made contact, however I refuse to believe that this is an isolated event. Sending unsolicited spam advertising is already am offence. Having ensured that I have opted out of these messages using the number provided in the mail's and even blocking the sender, to still be receiving these messages(3 just this afternoon) is beyond me. This was why the POPI act was introduced. The blatant infringement is why I want nothing to do with this network and why I will be going to a third party to unlock the network lock on this phone so I can be rid of the Vodacom SIM card, unless Vodacom would be willing to unlock the cash purchased phone(that they had no business locking in the first place other than perhaps this spam marketing)
