Spam with marketing smses

I have been receiving marketing/notification smses from Vodacom which are filling up my inbox with unnecessary rubish that I am not interested in.

The smses always start with:

Vodacom: [body of sms]. Go to/click [link/SSDD code] Opt out? SMS NO to 31116.

How many times must I sms NO to 31116 for this rubish?

I have contacted the customer care line to cancel these notifications and even received a confirmation sms saying:

Dear Customer; please be advised that notification messages have been removed from your account, we apologise for any inconvenience caused, thank you for your patience.

Kind regards, Vodacom Customer Care Sonia Livesey - dated 31/01/2017 @ 08:51

I have no patience left for this!!!

Can you people not do your jobs properly? Why must you feel the need to subscribe customers to rubish that they did not consent to?

I cannot stress this enough, I DON'T WANT MARKETING/NOTIFICATIONS OF ANY SORT FROM VODACOM!!!

Please tell me that there is at least one competent person that is employed there, that can make sure I don't receive this rubish anymore? You as a service provider are violating my right to Protect of my Personal Information.

Reviewer Update

I have posted this review on 10 February 2017 and even though Vodacom Consumer Website Team sent this automated reply, I have not received a call from anyone with regards to the spamming smses sent to my number, which I now received on a daily basis.

Vodacom's service as a supposed service provider is nothing more than inconsiderate and disappointing and perfectly in line with sewage.

You should not call yourselves a service provider when you clearly do not provide a service.
